Frank Kerdil Cotillion Bowl Review

Frank Kerdil Cotillion Bowl

The cotillion bowl is a beautifully finished and intricately designed stainless steel bowl that takes its name and shape from the Cotillion Dance, an 18th century French folk dance enjoyed by four couples dancing lively sets in a square. The “cotte” was the petticoat, revealed as ladies raised their skirts for the dance, and echoed in this bowl by waves of curling steel. Also reflected in this beautiful piece is the Chinese craft of paper cutting, a highly skilled practice that sees elaborate shapes created by the careful cutting of colored paper.
